No Job Summary:
Responsible for managing the Supply Chain process for procedural and clinical areas, including the on-site acquisition of needed supplies, equipment and services in a timely manner ensuring price, quality, availability and vendor reliability. Monitors and maintains inventory control of all stocked items, while ensuring appropriate levels of stock based on the feedback provided by reports, clinicians, physicians and Supply Chain. Serves as a resource to procedural and clinical departments regarding procurement practices that contribute to sound decision making for supplies, equipment and services that meet customer needs in a cost effective manner. Advocate for product and vendor standardization. Serves as a liaison between vendor/sales personnel and hospital, staff and physicians.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION
Minimum of 2 years experience in Supply Chain, Healthcare environment or related field required. 2 years of inventory management experience in health care environment is preferred. Prior experience as a Supply Chain Technologist, Inventory Technologist or similar position is preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION
Associates Degree required. In lieu of an Associates Degree, 2 years of progressively responsible experience in Supply Chain, Healthcare or related field is acceptable.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION
Self-motivated, detail oriented individual with exceptional analytical, organizational, verbal and written skills. Must be able to prioritize work and perform duties under pressure/in stressful situations. Experience with Microsoft applications, especially Excel and Word, and Materials Management Systems preferred.
