Senior Production Planner /
Buyer Location:
Menomonee Falls, WI Position Summary We're seeking an experienced Senior Production Planner / Buyer to oversee production scheduling, material planning, inventory management, and purchasing activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role ensures materials are available to meet customer demand while supporting operational efficiency and on-time delivery. Working closely with Operations, Customer Service, suppliers, and other cross-functional teams, you'll help balance production priorities, resolve supply issues, and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain. Responsibilities Create and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, forecasts, inventory, capacity, and business priorities. Monitor raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods inventory to support production requirements. Identify and resolve material shortages, scheduling conflicts, and supply chain risks. Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely material availability and customer deliveries. Manage purchase orders, supplier commitments, and delivery schedules. Analyze planning, inventory, supplier, and production data to improve efficiency and inventory performance. Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and forecasting activities. Build strong supplier relationships and support continuous improvement initiatives across planning, purchasing, and manufacturing. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field. Four or more years of experience in production planning, materials planning, inventory management, purchasing, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment. Experience developing production schedules and working with ERP/MRP systems. Strong knowledge of production planning, forecasting, inventory control, purchasing, and supply chain operations. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using reporting tools. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers. Ability to work onsite in Menomonee Falls, WI. Preferred Qualifications APICS CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, or similar certification. Experience in automotive, engineered plastics, injection molding, or other high-volume manufacturing environments. Knowledge of S&OP, Lean Manufacturing, inventory optimization, continuous improvement, and supply chain analytics. Interest in or experience preparing for future materials or supply chain leadership opportunities.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
