Full-Time Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing materials, ensuring the smooth flow of production, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role is crucial in supporting our lean manufacturing processes and contributing to the overall efficiency and productivity of the shop.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Handling:
Receive, ship, inspect, and store raw materials, components, and finished products. Ensure accurate inventory management and timely delivery of materials to production areas.
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and report discrepancies. Utilize inventory management software to track and update stock levels.
Lean Manufacturing Support:
Implement and adhere to lean manufacturing principles, such as 5S, Kanban, and Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory systems. Identify and eliminate waste in material handling processes.
Equipment Operation:
Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of material movements, including receipts, transfers, and shipments. Prepare and update material handling reports as required.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor.
Collaboration:
Work closely with production, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure seamless material flow and support production schedules.

Requirements Qualifications:
Previous experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices.
Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer skills.
Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials as required.
