Full Job Description Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities for the Procurement Specialist include, but are not limited to: Create purchase orders in Client or S&L's internal vendor management systems Material management, tracking and coordination activities Track material orders, deliveries in vendor management systems Travel to jobsites to receive and inspect materials Expedite suppliers / subcontractors / engineering input, as appropriate Coordinate and work closely with engineering project managers, suppliers, contractors, subcontractors and client personnel Manage and administer the subcontract life cycle process for assigned projects Support S&L clients in their procurement processes Assist in evaluation of proposals from suppliers / subcontractors Perform risk assessments on potential and existing subcontracts Monitor and evaluate contract performance Record keeping / document control with audit involvement Processing vendor invoices for payment This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with the expectation of 3 days in our Hamilton, NJ office and 2 days working remotely from home .
Qualifications:
Essential skills and experience: Bachelor's Degree Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement and/or contract administration Strong written, verbal, & people communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with project managers, engineers, clients, suppliers and contractors as necessary Detailed thinker Ability to make educated judgement calls, solve problems and take initiatives necessary to perform job functions Team player and self-starter with ability to complete projects on schedule MS Office Suite proficiency Valued but not required skills and experience: Power industry experience supporting large power generation, substation or transmission line projects CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) and/or C.P.M (Certified Purchasing Manager) designation Experience with Workday and Asana We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.
