This position plays an important role in making sure we have the right products, in the right stores, at the right time — without carrying unnecessary inventory. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, sales trends, and inventory data and enjoys finding opportunities to improve how inventory moves through a business. Key Responsibilities Monitor inventory levels and product movement across multiple retail locations Review and adjust reorder points (ROPs), reorder quantities, and inventory levels based on sales trends, seasonality, lead times, and pack quantities Identify slow-moving and excess inventory and recommend transfers, reductions, promotions, or other actions Identify potential stockouts and help ensure strong-selling products remain in stock Analyze inventory turns and recommend ways to improve inventory productivity Monitor store-level inventory and identify unusual inventory levels or discrepancies Assist with inventory transfers between stores Review purchase orders and incoming inventory Work with buyers, store managers, warehouse personnel, and management to resolve inventory issues Help maintain accurate inventory records and investigate significant discrepancies Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts Create and maintain inventory reports using Excel and other company systems Look for opportunities to reduce inventory investment while maintaining appropriate in-stock levels What We're Looking For Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail Strong Excel skills Comfortable working with large amounts of sales and inventory data Ability to recognize trends and turn data into actionable recommendations Good organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion Retail, purchasing, replenishment, inventory management, or supply-chain experience is preferred Experience managing inventory across multiple locations is a plus What Success Looks Like A successful Inventory Controller will help
