Summary The Logistics Analyst will process incoming orders, manage logistics to optimize cost and service, and conduct detailed analysis on order and supply chain issues utilizing advanced systems and process excellence tools. This position will implement process improvements through cross-functional collaboration as well as partnering with customers to drive achievement of organizational metrics and individual account goals. Essential Duties & Responsibility Essential Duties & Responsibilities i nclude the following. Other duties may be assigned. Manage and balance key business relationships while understanding the customer expectations and internal policies/requirements Proactively manage order fulfillment to meet customer demands through integration with operating company, distribution, and planning/forecasting and escalate issues when appropriate Identify and execute consolidation opportunities for promotional and base business orders Analyze, recommend, and implement modifications to customer purchasing patterns for optimal service and improved logistics efficiencies Resolve customer discrepancies by engaging with key partners relating to data integrity, shipping issues, and trade pricing/promotional management Manage and direct requests and inquiries from internal & external business partners Learn and utilize new technology to drive root cause analysis and problem resolution relating to On-Time Delivery, Order Blocks, and other individual/team metrics. Complete other order management activities as assigned. Identify and implement innovative solutions through the use of process excellence tools, methodologies, and technology Utilize Microsoft applications i.e. (Excel, Power Point) as well as business applications such as: SAP, BW, EDI and ERP Systems R egular attendance, punctuality and adherence to agreed-upon schedule of availability are conditions of employment and essential function of this position Leadership Responsibilities Although this position will not have responsibility for direct reports, the position requires active leadership in the way of supporting strategic initiatives as well as active personal development and application of Six Sigma methodologies. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Working knowledge of SAP is preferred Proficiency with MS tools is preferred Ability to desire to learn new systems and applications is required Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain is preferred Customer-centric mindset is required Strong collaboration skills with experience working on cross functional teams Solid problem-solving and analytical skills is required Working knowledge of SAP is preferred Proficiency with MS tools is preferred Ability to travel up to 10% of the time domestically EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree from a four-year university or college required, an advanced degree is preferred. A minimum of two (2) years of supply chain related experience is required .

TECHNOLOGY SKILL BASE

This position requires a working knowledge of computer technology that includes: Windows, PowerPoint, Advanced Word and Excel, along with Client designated software. Individuals must possess the ability to learn and understand new software and other technology applications as introduced by Client and Alta Resources.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
