About Us Straight Talk Clinic, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing mental health, substance abuse, and rehabilitative services to individuals and families in need who face barriers to access. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Executive Director (ED) to serve as our Chief Executive Officer. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the ED provides strategic direction, operational management, and leadership across all programs while ensuring strict regulatory and financial compliance.

Key Responsibilities Executive Leadership & Governance:

Partner with the Board to advance mission objectives, execute strategic plans, and manage Board communications.

Program & Clinical Oversight:

Ensure high-quality, ethical, and culturally responsive behavioral health services. Oversee compliance with BBS, DHCS, Medi-Cal, HIPAA, and confidentiality standards.

Financial Management:

Direct budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, and

GAAP/IRS

Form 990 compliance. Maintain audit readiness and fiscal controls.

Workforce & Organizational Culture:

Oversee senior leadership, staff recruitment, performance management, and compliance with California labor laws.

Fundraising & Community Relations:

Lead diversified fundraising efforts (grants, contracts, individual donations) and serve as the public face of the organization.

Risk Management:

Mitigate operational, clinical, and financial risks while ensuring adequate insurance and legal compliance.

Qualifications Education:

Master's degree required (Public Administration, Social Work, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or related field); Doctorate preferred.

Experience:

7-10 years of progressive leadership/senior management experience in a nonprofit, healthcare, or behavioral health setting.

Regulatory Expertise:

Thorough knowledge of the California regulatory environment (BBS, DHCS, Medi-Cal, labor laws) and behavioral health delivery systems.

Proven Track Record:

Experience in nonprofit financial management, working with a Board of Directors, grant management, and fundraising.

Skills:

Strong team development, strategic planning, and commitment to serving underserved populations. Work Environment & Schedule Operating in a professional office environment with regular local travel. Requires flexible availability for occasional evening/weekend Board meetings and organizational events.

Pay:

$105,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
