Job Description

ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW
Founded in October of 1995, United Samaritans Foundation mission is to deliver food to people in need in Stanislaus County, and to facilitate the provision of services to assist them in a transition to a better quality of life. In today's economy, with housing costs, utilities and groceries climbing, earning a wage is no longer a guarantee of having enough to eat. United Samaritans Foundation serves the gap between what people earn and what life costs.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all organizational activities, ensuring alignment with the mission and vision. Serve as the primary representative of the organization to community partners, donors and the community. Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Lead, motivate, and manage staff by providing guidance while delegating responsibilities appropriately. Oversee program development, expansion, and evaluation to ensure high-quality service delivery. Collaborate closely with the Board of Directors to establish organizational goals, monitor progress, and report on performance. Foster a positive organizational culture that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and funding requirements. Drive fundraising efforts in partnership with development staff to support organizational sustainability.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience in executive leadership or senior management roles within a nonprofit or similar organization. Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to develop and execute long-term plans. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, delegate responsibilities effectively, and build a collaborative work environment. In-depth knowledge of organizational operations, program management, and industry-specific best practices. Ability to develop a thorough understanding of the organization's core programs and operational landscape. Experience working with a Board of Directors or governing body is preferred. Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in nonprofit management, public administration or related field is advantageous. Fundraising and donor relations experience and tactical knowledge with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The salary range for this position begins at $85,000 yearly, based on education and experience. The total compensation package includes health benefits, and 6 paid holidays.
