The Executive Director for Bike VC is the organization leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, including strategic planning, program management, fundraising, staff supervision, and ensuring the organization achieves its mission and goals, typically reporting directly to a board of directors; they often play a key role in developing and executing organizational strategy while maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Job Roles and Responsibilities 1. Leadership and Strategic Planning

•

Vision and Mission:

Uphold and promote the organization's vision, mission, and values.

•

Strategic Planning:

Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the organization's goals and objectives.

•

Board Collaboration:

Work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and policies.

•

Community Engagement:

Act as the primary spokesperson and advocate for the organization within the community. 2. Financial Management

•

Budgeting:

Develop and manage the organization's budget, ensuring financial sustainability and accountability.

•

Fundraising:

Identify and pursue fundraising opportunities, including grants, donations, and sponsorships.

•

Financial Reporting:

Provide regular financial reports to the Board of Directors and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations. 3. Operational Management

•

Program Oversight:

Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services.

•

Staff Supervision:

Lead, mentor, and support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

•

Volunteer Coordination:

Manage and support a team of volunteers, ensuring effective utilization of their skills and contributions. 4. Staff Supervision and Development

•

Objective Setting:

Set clear performance objectives and expectations for staff members, aligned with the organization's goals.

•

Performance Review:

Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and address any performance-related issues.

•

Professional Development:

Identify and provide opportunities for staff professional development, including training, workshops, and conferences.

•

Team Meetings:

Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss performance, updates, and address any concerns. 5. Community Relations and Marketing

•

Public Relations:

Build and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and donors.

•

Marketing and Communications:

Develop and implement marketing strategies to raise awareness and support for the organization.

•

Event Planning:

Plan and execute events and activities to engage the community and promote the organization's mission. 6. Compliance and Risk Management

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including nonprofit governance requirements.

Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate potential risks to the organization, ensuring a safe and secure environment for staff, volunteers, and clients. 7. Board Development and Support

Board Meetings:

Prepare and present reports and updates to the Board of Directors and attend all board meetings.

Board Development:

Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of board members to enhance their effectiveness. 8. Communication and Reporting

Operational Updates:

Provide regular operational updates to the Board of Directors, including key performance metrics and any significant issues.

Stakeholder Communication:

Innovation:

Stay informed about industry trends and best practices and implement new initiatives to improve the organization's impact.

Grant Writing:

Lead the grant writing process, including research, proposal development, and reporting.

•

Policy Development:

Develop and update organizational policies and procedures as needed.

Pay:

$70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
