Executive Director Jackson County Habitat for Humanity | Full-Time | Commerce, GA | In-Person About Habitat for Humanity Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization that has helped families build and improve places to call home in communities across the United States and around the world since 1976. Habitat works alongside families through affordable homeownership, home repair, and community development, driven by the belief that everyone deserves a decent, affordable place to live. Jackson County Habitat for Humanity (JCHFH) is the local affiliate serving our community through these same programs. About the Role JCHFH is seeking a mission-driven Executive Director to lead our affiliate's strategy, operations, and community impact. This hands-on leadership role guides our Board of Directors, drives fundraising and community partnerships, and directly oversees our homeowner programs and marketing and outreach efforts; all for the mission of building homes, communities, and hope. What You'll Do Lead day-to-day operations and long-term strategic planning for the affiliate, in partnership with the Board of Directors. Recruit, hire, and lead staff and volunteers, fostering a positive, mission-driven culture. Drive fundraising and revenue growth through grant writing, donor cultivation, and community and business partnerships. Oversee homeowner program operations, including affiliate compliance reporting, family selection, and mortgage servicing coordination. Direct marketing, communications, and community outreach, including social media, storytelling, and events. Build and maintain relationships with civic leaders, funders, volunteers, and Habitat for Humanity International. Ensure the affiliate operates in compliance with all applicable regulations and HFHI policies. What You'll Bring Availability for a minimum of 40 hours per week, including evening meetings, monthly board meetings, and occasional weekend events during the construction season. Strong leadership and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders: board members, donors, staff, and community partners. Fundraising experience, including grant writing and revenue strategy. Experience overseeing nonprofit program operations and compliance reporting. Working knowledge of social media, marketing, and brand management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, donor databases, and marketing tools (e.g., Canva, CharityProud, Deputy, ThriftCart). Bachelor's degree preferred; experience with construction concepts, mortgage servicing/QLO processes, or the nonprofit sector a plus.
