Angels Theater Managing Director Angels Theater Company Lincoln, NE Job Details Part-time $20,000 - $25,000 a year 3 hours ago Qualifications Fundraising experience within non-profit organizations Community development Attention to detail Organizational skills Cash management Full Job Description Managing Director — Angels Theatre Company Lincoln, NE | Part-time (~20 hrs/week) | $25,000/year Since 1994, Angels Theatre Company has been Nebraska's premiere theatre for new plays — original work that brings audiences face-to-face with stories that deserve to be heard. Built by volunteers for over 30 years, we're now hiring our first paid leadership to help this work grow without losing what makes it ours. We're looking for a Managing Director to lead that next chapter — a founding role for someone who can build the systems and relationships a growing nonprofit needs, while staying genuinely connected to the community and mission behind it. What You'll Do Partner with the Artistic Director as executive co-lead, turning creative vision into a sustainable, well-run organization Own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial reporting — balancing ticket revenue with grants, sponsorships, and individual giving Serve as chief fundraiser: cultivate major donors, lead grant strategy, and build corporate partnerships Represent Angels in Lincoln's arts, civic, and business communities Serve as primary liaison to the Board of Directors Manage the administrative assistant, support staff, vendors, and day-to-day operations What We're Looking For A track record managing the financial and administrative operations of an organization Working knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, and basic accounting A confident, warm public presence — comfortable with donors, civic leaders, and community members Strong written and verbal communication with real attention to detail A genuine love of theater and belief in what a well-supported new play can do for a community Nonprofit leadership, fundraising, or Board experience a plus Why Angels This is a small organization with big ambition. You'll help architect the systems and donor programs that carry Angels into its next era — with real ownership, a supportive Board, and a mission worth building around.
