$90,000 to $100,000 per year About SAFE on Main SAFE on Main exists to build a community committed to eliminating domestic and sexual abuse through education, empowerment, and engagement. Our vision is a violence-free community where everyone is safe and able to thrive. From our home on Main Street in Lebanon, we serve all of Warren County in two ways. When someone is in crisis, we are there around the clock with a 24/7 hotline, emergency shelter, legal and court advocacy, hospital response, therapy, and support groups for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Before violence starts, our prevention team is in classrooms, youth programs, workplaces, and community spaces teaching healthy relationships and sexual assault prevention. Our doors are open to any individual or family experiencing domestic or sexual violence, regardless of age, gender, race, background, or identity. The Opportunity We are looking for an Executive Director who measures success by outcomes: more people served well, more students reached, more revenue raised, and a team that thrives. You will report to the Board of Trustees and inherit a dedicated staff, a strong shelter program, and a community that cares about this work. We are ready for a leader who can build on that foundation and grow our impact, with fundraising at the center of the strategy. What Success Looks Like In your first two years, we expect you to deliver results in these areas. Revenue is growing and more diverse. You have built a fund development plan that balances grants with individual, corporate, and event giving, and donors can see exactly what their gift makes possible. Signature events run on an annual calendar, deliver real value to sponsors, and raise more each year. Your team is engaged and growing. Expectations are clear, feedback is regular, people can see a path to grow, and you have a plan to keep SAFE on Main competitive as an employer. Survivors receive high-quality, trauma-informed care, prevention programs reach more schools and employers, and you can show the impact of both with data that funders and the community trust. The Board receives clear, timely financial and program reporting, and grants are managed in full compliance. SAFE on Main is more visible in Warren County, and you are known as the organization's voice with partners, funders, media, and public officials. You will carry the full scope of executive leadership, including strategic planning with the Board, staff leadership, budget and grant oversight, marketing and communications, personnel policy in partnership with the People Committee, and regulatory compliance. The complete job description is available on request. What You BringRequired At least five years of management and executive experience, with a record of leading teams and the results to show for it. Demonstrated success leading fundraising campaigns of $100,000 or more. Be ready to walk us through what you raised and how. A strong history of securing and managing grants, including reporting and compliance. Experience developing budgets, analyzing financials, and reporting to a board. Bachelor's degree, or equivalent executive-level experience. Understanding of crisis response, trauma-informed care, and violence prevention. Cultural humility and the ability to work effectively with people of diverse ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Strong communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage donors, partners, and the community. Preferred Experience in domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, victim services, prevention education, or a related human services field. Nonprofit executive experience working with a governing board, including federal and state victim services funding such as VOCA, VAWA, and FVPSA. Relevant licensure or advanced degree (such as LSW, LISW, MSW, or MPA) and familiarity with Warren County. Schedule and Location This is an in-person role based at our administrative office in Lebanon, Ohio, Monday through Friday during business hours. Occasional evening, weekend, and virtual work is required for events, Board meetings, and urgent needs. Benefits Generous paid time off 403(b) retirement plan with a 2% safe harbor employer contribution Reimbursement of up to $350 toward medical insurance premiums Access to voluntary supplemental insurance, including dental and vision How to Apply Submit your resume and a cover letter through Indeed. In your cover letter, share one fundraising result you are proud of and one example of a team you built or turned around, along with why SAFE on Main's mission matters to you. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and the position will remain open until filled. All inquiries will be kept confidential. The selected candidate must successfully complete a background check. Equal Opportunity Employer SAFE on Main is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to building a team that reflects the community we serve, and we encourage applicants of all backgrounds, including those with lived experience, to apply.
