full-time We are partnering with a leading enterprise organization seeking an experienced Operational Readiness Analyst to support large-scale technology transformation initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring applications and technology solutions are fully prepared for production deployment and ongoing support. This position bridges the gap between project delivery and operational support teams, helping reduce deployment risk while ensuring successful service transitions. The individual will drive operational readiness activities across multiple technology initiatives and contribute directly to project success. Location & Schedule Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite (Tuesday through Thursday) Office located in the northern Chicago suburbs Local candidates strongly preferred due to onsite requirements Limited to no travel anticipated The Operational Readiness Analyst is responsible for coordinating and validating readiness activities for new applications, system enhancements, infrastructure solutions, and technology initiatives. This individual will partner with project managers, application teams, service delivery organizations, and operational support teams to ensure successful implementation and production support readiness. The ideal candidate brings operational readiness, service transition, and IT service management experience, along with strong stakeholder coordination and project facilitation skills. Key Responsibilities Coordinate Operational Readiness activities throughout the project lifecycle Facilitate readiness assessments, review meetings, and stakeholder signoffs Track readiness milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables Ensure operational requirements are completed prior to implementation Validate production readiness for application and infrastructure deployments Coordinate support model development, ownership assignments, and escalation procedures Review and validate operational documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles Identify operational risks and develop mitigation plans Partner with infrastructure, security, service delivery, and application support teams Support change management, release readiness, monitoring, and service transition activities Maintain readiness reporting and executive status updates Measure post-implementation success and support continuous improvement efforts Required Qualifications 3+ years of Operational Readiness, Service Transition, IT Operations, or IT Service Management experience Experience working within ITIL-based service management environments Strong understanding of change, incident, problem, release, and service management processes Experience coordinating cross-functional technology initiatives Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Experience supporting application implementation and production readiness activities Familiarity with ITSM platforms and service management workflows Experience tracking project tasks, milestones, risks, and dependencies Ability to facilitate meetings and drive action items to completion Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation skills Nice-to-Have Qualifications ITIL Foundation Certification Experience with ServiceNow Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) Exposure to infrastructure, cloud, or digital transformation initiatives Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity practices Experience supporting enterprise-scale application deployments Familiarity with CMDB processes and service governance requirements What Makes This Role Unique Long-term 12-month contract engagement One-and-done interview process Opportunity to support a major enterprise technology transformation initiative High visibility role working across project, operational, and leadership teams Strong focus on application operational readiness and service transition activities
