Job Description:
Client's Beltsville Aerospace facility is seeking a Continuous Improvement (CI) Coordinator to support our Operational Excellence (OPEX) initiatives across a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role provides hands on exposure to Lean principles, manufacturing processes, and cross functional collaboration while helping drive a culture of continuous improvement.
Position Overview:
This is a position whereby you will be charged with supporting the site"s continuous improvement efforts. The successful person in this role will support continuous improvement action items from kaizen events, improve shop floor productivity by the implementation of Lean Manufacturing Tools, basic Problem Solving activities and collect inspection data to create statistical process charts.
In this function you will:
work closely with CI manager, operations team, and Quality team
learn new technologies and implement process changes
collect data and use it to create statistical process charts
reinforce training from kaizen events
follow up on identified action items
Qualifications:
Required (Basic)
Qualifications:
Bachelor"s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, complete or currently in progress from an accredited institution
Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in high-volume, discrete manufacturing, consumer products, automotive or similar industries preferred.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience with Six Sigma tools and statistical analysis.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and data analysis tools.
Knowledge of time studies, work measurement, line balancing, and capacity analysis.
Familiarity with AutoCAD or facility layout software preferred
