• Job Summary The client's Beltsville Aerospace facility is seeking a Continuous Improvement (CI) Coordinator to support Operational Excellence (OPEX) initiatives across a dynamic manufacturing environment.

This role provides hands-on exposure to Lean principles , manufacturing processes, and cross-functional collaboration while helping drive a culture of continuous improvement. The successful person in this role will support continuous improvement action items from kaizen events, improve shop floor productivity through the implementation of Lean Manufacturing Tools, basic problem-solving activities, and collection of inspection data to create statistical process charts.

• Key Responsibilities Work closely with CI manager, operations team, and Quality team Learn new technologies and implement process changes Collect data and use it to create statistical process charts Reinforce training from kaizen events Follow up on identified action items Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Labor productivity improvement Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) Cost savings and cost avoidance Throughput and capacity increases Scrap and rework reduction On-time project completion Safety and quality performance improvements•Required Skills Technical Skills Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies Experience with Six Sigma tools and statistical analysis Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and data analysis tools Knowledge of time studies, work measurement, line balancing, and capacity analysis Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent project management and organizational abilities Effective communication and presentation skills Ability to influence teams and drive change in a manufacturing environment Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills•Preferred Skills Experience in high-volume, discrete manufacturing, consumer products, automotive, or similar industries Familiarity with AutoCAD or facility layout software•Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field complete or currently in progress from an accredited institution•Required Experience Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment•Benefits Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401k Retirement Fund•About the Client This client is a global power management company that has been at the heart of industrial innovation for over a century, operating in more than 100 countries with revenues of approximately $20.
