Position Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to promote and support a strong "Safety First" culture throughout our manufacturing operation. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for implementing safety programs, ensuring OSHA compliance, conducting safety training, investigating incidents, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that create a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. This role is critical in maintaining workplace safety, reducing incidents, supporting workers' compensation efforts, and ensuring compliance with all applicable safety regulations. Key Responsibilities Promote and reinforce a culture of workplace safety across all departments. Ensure implementation of safety strategies and action plans to achieve established safety goals. Develop, coordinate, and facilitate safety training programs for employees. Conduct workplace safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and correct hazards. Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis and corrective action processes. Manage and track safety incidents, near misses, first aid cases, and OSHA recordable events. Maintain OSHA compliance and stay current with occupational health and safety regulations. Coordinate and support the facility Safety Team, including goal development and action planning. Perform regular facility safety audits and recommend improvements. Partner with leadership to implement preventive safety measures and best practices. Assist with workers' compensation case management and return-to-work programs. Monitor safety-related costs and assist in managing the safety budget. Communicate safety topics and updates during team meetings and throughout the organization. Provide coaching and mentorship to leaders and team members regarding safety practices. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace health and safety. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Skills & Experience Knowledge of occupational safety and health principles, regulations, and best practices. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on action items. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer systems. Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. Strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Liberal Arts, Occupational Safety, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and relevant safety experience will also be considered. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation administration, and incident investigation techniques.
