THE ORGANIZATION

The Northeast Community Clinics, a growing Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with 18 locations serving many parts of Los Angeles County, is recruiting its next Director of Operations/COO. For almost 50 years, Northeast Community Clinics (NECC) has been providing comprehensive, culturally competent, high quality primary health and a wide variety of specialty care throughout Los Angeles for diverse, underserved communities, regardless of the patients' financial status. The range of services provided by the NECC include: Pediatric, prenatal, family planning, adult general medicine, dental, optometry, endocrinology, and 24-hour emergency coverage through on-call physicians. With a growing budget of $54M and over 400 employees, NECC serves more than 45,000 patients annually. Due to a number of current initiatives, including the integration of two physician practices, launching of a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), new contracts and grants and other programs addressing emerging social determinants of health, NECC is poised for continued acceleration of growth in resources and programs for the communities they serve.

THE POSITION

Reporting to the Executive Director/CEO, the Operations Director/Chief Operating Officer is a key and influential member of executive management, responsible for the establishment and implementation of policies and procedures across the organization designed to promote optimal quality, efficiency, profitability and productivity. The Operations Director is responsible for all clinical operations and works closely with the Medical Director to ensure quality of standards and compliance. As a Director, this key executive is responsible for leading and overseeing the strategic direction, operations and ensuring performance of the organization aligns with mission, vision and goals to achieve organizational growth and success The Operations Director supervises and oversees:

• Clinic Managers
• Managed Care Department
• Transportation/Appointment Scheduler Department
• Operations Department The Operations Director will join and enhance a staff culture driven by a sense of purpose and service — not just achievement.

Having affinity with the NECC's patient population and/or being bilingual Spanish are a plus.

THE PERSON

The successful Director of Operations Candidate has an innovative, collaborative and humane mindset that infuses their approach towards their work with staff advancing the mission of the NECC. As part of their evidence-based approach to leadership, this key executive integrates background information from data sets and cross-functional staff, into solutions that drive continuous improvement in operations, quality, productivity and both the patient and staff experience. Finally, the successful Director of Operations candidate exhibits an adaptive approach to leadership that is able to course-correct based on new information and changing circumstances. They have an orientation towards taking action.

Pay:

$150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
