Finance Operations Manager

Job Description

We are a growing commercial production company looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Finance Operations Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day financial operations. This person will be responsible for ensuring vendors are paid on time, clients are invoiced accurately and promptly, projects are financially closed out, and leadership has a clear understanding of where the business stands financially.
What You'll Own Accounts Payable:
Manage vendor invoices, approvals, coding and payments and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
Accounts Receivable:
Own client invoicing, track outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue payments.
Project Financials:
Work closely with producers and project managers to track actual costs, outstanding expenses, billable overages and project profitability.
Bookkeeping:
Maintain accurate, current books; reconcile accounts and transactions; and coordinate with outside accounting/CPA partners.
Project Closeout:
Review project documentation to identify missing vendor bills, expenses or client charges before projects are closed.
Financial Reporting:
Maintain clear visibility into cash, AP, AR, upcoming obligations, project profitability and other key financial metrics.
Process & Accountability:
Help create better financial systems and proactively follow up with team members when information or documentation is missing. Who We're Looking For This role requires someone who is extremely detail-oriented, proactive and persistent. Our projects move quickly, and financial information isn't always delivered in a perfect package. You may need to review a project budget, call sheet, travel itinerary or creative deck and recognize that an expense or invoice is missing. You should be comfortable asking questions, chasing down answers and taking ownership of an issue until it is resolved.
Ideal experience includes:
4+ years in accounting, bookkeeping or finance operations Strong AP and AR experience Experience with project-based accounting Experience with Ramp and QuickBooks or similar platforms Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills Experience in commercial production, advertising, entertainment, experiential or another project-based business is highly preferred Excellent organization and attention to detail CPA credentials are not required . We are looking for a strong financial operator who understands accounting fundamentals and takes ownership. What Success Looks Like Our vendors know when they're getting paid. Our clients are invoiced on time. Our books are current. Our projects don't close with missing costs or unbilled expenses. Our leadership has clear financial visibility.

Compensation Target salary:
$85,000 - $110,000 annually , depending on experience.
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
