On-site Workforce Operations Manager (2nd Shift)
Location:
West Point, GA Shift:
2nd Shift (Flexibility required to assist with business needs across various shifts)

Based on experience Role Overview This position is responsible for driving operational success by managing daily production output, fostering employee engagement, overseeing staffing logistics, and championing quality and continuous improvement initiatives. We are seeking a proactive, hands-on leader with a background in manufacturing, talent development, and service-oriented delivery who can collaborate effectively with production, quality, and HR teams to meet safety, productivity, and workforce goals. Core Responsibilities Operations Leadership Oversee all 2nd shift production activities to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met. Track essential performance metrics such as attendance, output, downtime, turnover, and staffing levels to help maintain a high-performing production environment. Coordinate shift activities to ensure consistent operational performance and seamless transitions between shifts. Workforce Management Direct initiatives related to employee retention, engagement, performance, and attendance. Facilitate the onboarding process and track training progress for both new and current staff members. Provide guidance on employee relations through coaching, investigations, and disciplinary procedures to foster a positive workplace culture. Ensure all operations remain in full compliance with labor laws, company guidelines, and client-specific requirements. Quality & Continuous Improvement Verify that all processes adhere to OEM quality standards, internal management systems, and client specifications. Analyze current workflows to identify opportunities that enhance operational efficiency and boost overall employee engagement. Safety & Compliance Promote a culture of safety by ensuring the work environment strictly follows OSHA regulations and internal policies. Ensure that all organizational procedures and industry standards are consistently met to maintain operational integrity. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Three to five years of experience in operations, manufacturing, staffing, or workforce leadership. Comprehensive knowledge of onboarding, recruiting, and workforce planning strategies. Experience utilizing continuous improvement methodologies and Lean Manufacturing principles to drive performance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, HRIS/ATS platforms, and production reporting software. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities. Preferred Qualifications Background in automotive manufacturing. Lean Manufacturing certification. Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification. Familiarity with
ISO 9001, IATF
16949, or similar quality management frameworks. Experience managing high-volume production environments. Project management certification or equivalent experience. Experience overseeing contingent labor programs or staffing operations. Physical Demands Ability to work on the production floor for extended durations. Frequent walking, standing, and movement throughout the facility. Capacity to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Flexibility to work varied hours to support business needs outside of the standard shift.
