• Traveling Crews Atkins, IA | Nationwide Travel | Full-Time | Leadership + Advancement Opportunity Are you an experienced field leader ready to take charge of a traveling crew and tackle a new challenge at every job site?

West Side Salvage, now operating as Apex Response, is growing and looking for a strong Foreman based in Atkins, IA, to lead traveling crews across the country. When grain bins collapse, fires damage facilities, or floods disrupt farms and businesses, Apex Response shows up to help customers recover. The field teams perform demolition, recovery, salvage, cleanup, and other demanding work to help customers get back on their feet. As a Foreman , you'll travel to job sites across the country to lead crews through demolition, recovery, cleanup, and other hands-on field work. This role is a great fit for a strong leader with sound judgment who is willing to roll up their sleeves and take ownership in a fast-paced environment where every job is different. Salvage or disaster recovery experience isn't required —the focus is on the ability to lead people, solve problems, and keep work moving. What You'll Do Lead, direct, and motivate a traveling field crew Assign daily work and coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and job-site activities Set expectations for safety, productivity, quality, and professionalism Monitor project progress and communicate updates to company leadership Troubleshoot challenges and make decisions in a fast-moving field environment Help keep projects on schedule and meet customer expectations Train, coach, and develop crew members while holding them accountable to company and job-site standards Work alongside the crew when needed while maintaining a strong leadership presence Travel to job sites and provide hands-on leadership wherever the work takes you What You Bring Previous experience supervising or leading a field crew Strong communication and people-management skills Ability to direct multiple employees and keep work organized Sound judgment and the ability to make decisions in the field A strong sense of accountability and ownership Construction, mechanical, agricultural, heavy equipment, demolition, restoration, or similar experience is highly valuable Current Class A or B CDL, or ability to obtain required Ability and willingness to travel regularly Ability to work in physically demanding, fast-paced environments Why Join Apex Response?
