Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Operations Manager specializing in Upholstery Frames manufacturing. MUST be able to design frames in a CAD program and understand CNC routers and lathes. Hard wood chair assembly is a must. In this pivotal role, you will lead the production operations, ensuring seamless coordination across manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and quality control. Your energetic leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize production scheduling, and uphold the highest standards of efficiency and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence manufacturing excellence in a fast-paced environment, fostering a culture of teamwork, innovation, and operational excellence. Duties Oversee daily production activities related to upholstery frames, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Manage production planning and scheduling using ERP systems such as SAP and MRP modules to meet delivery deadlines and optimize resource utilization. Lead cross-functional teams in implementing lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Utilize Excel data analysis and supply chain analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify bottlenecks, and develop actionable solutions. Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and supply chain departments to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components for uninterrupted production flow. Drive continuous improvement projects by analyzing manufacturing management systems, applying lean management techniques, and fostering a culture of operational excellence. Ensure compliance with quality control standards through regular audits, process reviews, and team training sessions focused on assembly precision and defect reduction. Experience Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in furniture or upholstery frame production. Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or similar enterprise resource planning platforms; familiarity with MRP modules is essential. Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing practices, Six Sigma certification is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and process documentation. Experience leading teams through process improvements using lean management techniques; excellent team leadership skills are essential. Ability to communicate effectively across cross-functional teams including supply chain management, quality assurance, and production staff. Familiarity with quality control standards specific to furniture manufacturing or assembly processes is a plus.
