Grafton, OH Position Objective:

The Grain Operations Manager is responsible for the overall operation of a grain elevator. They must have a strong understanding of grain handling and storage, as well as the ability to manage a team of employees. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated and results-oriented individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operations of the grain elevator or processing facility. Oversee proper procedure of rail, containers and trans-loading. Manage the staff and ensure that they are properly trained and equipped. Monitor grain quality and ensure that it meets all standards. Inspect grain bins and equipment to prevent damage or loss. Comply with all applicable regulations. Stay up to date on the latest technologies and practices in the grain industry.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in the grain industry. Strong understanding of grain handling and storage. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Safety conscious.

Other Duties:

The operations manager will perform other duties as assigned by the Area Operations Manager. Perform duties as requested by management. Be willing to help at other locations or for other business units as requested with train loading at Mansfield. Maintain the highest level of housekeeping, clutter reduction, and organization to improve appearance of the facility which will promote Centerra's integrity and reputation.
