Weather changes, plans shift, and when a storm hits, our customers are counting on us to keep their properties safe and accessible. That's where our Operations Manager - Snow comes in. This role helps lead our snow operation before, during, and after each event — coordinating people, equipment, subcontractors, properties, and changing conditions while keeping safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability in focus. What You'll Do Help plan and prepare for the snow season, including staffing, equipment, subcontractors, training, and site readiness. Lead and support snow operations during weather events, making real-time decisions as conditions change. Coordinate with Branch Managers, Account Managers, Snow Leaders, employees, and subcontractors. Inspect properties during and after storms to ensure quality and customer expectations are being met. Identify problems early and help resolve customer concerns quickly. Manage subcontractor performance and compliance with safety and operating expectations. Assist with snow bids, job costing, budgets, and opportunities for additional work. Help train employees and subcontractors and participate in post-storm reviews to improve future performance. A Realistic Preview of the Job We want you to know what this role really looks like. Snow doesn't follow a Monday-Friday schedule. During the winter season, nights, weekends, holidays, early mornings, and extended hours may be required depending on the weather. This isn't a desk-only job. You'll travel between properties, inspect work in the field, and may need to drive in difficult winter conditions. Plans change quickly. Forecasts shift, equipment breaks, subcontractors call out, and customer needs change. You'll need to stay calm, adjust the plan, and make good decisions with a lot of moving pieces. When a storm hits, the team depends on strong operational leadership — and you'll have a direct impact on the safety of our customers' properties and the success of the branch. What Will Help You Succeed 3+ years of management or operations experience Snow removal field experience and knowledge of snow equipment Experience working with budgets and job-cost information Ability to develop or assist with accurate snow bids Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to make decisions and work effectively under pressure Comfort working outdoors and driving during winter weather Valid driver's license What Success Looks Like Our properties are serviced safely and well.
