3004134621-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Hunter Douglas seeks a Director of Operations to lead manufacturing for custom window treatments in a high-mix, quality-driven environment. You will own production strategy, daily plant operations, and continuous improvement to ensure safety, precision, and on-time delivery. Partnering closely with engineering, supply chain, and sales, you'll align capacity with demand, support smart-home and custom solutions, and champion lean practices. You'll develop operations talent, drive KPIs, manage budgets, and foster a culture of craftsmanship, innovation, and customer focus. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day manufacturing and operations for custom window treatments to meet safety, quality, and delivery targets Optimize production workflows, scheduling, and capacity utilization to improve throughput and reduce waste Implement and monitor KPIs for quality, on-time delivery, efficiency, and cost control Drive continuous improvement using Lean/6 S principles and data-driven problem solving Partner with engineering, supply chain, and sales to align production with demand and new product launches Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards across the plant Develop, coach, and performance-manage supervisors and frontline teams Oversee vendor performance, inventory levels, and material availability to support reliable production Support technology and automation initiatives to enhance precision and productivity Prepare and manage operations budgets and capital improvement plans Required Skills Manufacturing operations management Production planning and scheduling Lean manufacturing/continuous improvement Six Sigma/process optimization KPI development and performance management Supply chain and inventory management Budgeting and cost control Quality management systems Team leadership and people development ERP/MRP systems
