Position Overview:
As an order puller, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently fulfilling customer orders by selecting the correct items from warehouse shelves or storage locations and preparing them for shipment. You will work closely with other warehouse staff, such as packers and shippers, to ensure timely order fulfillment and maintain inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities:
Order Picking:
Utilize order sheets, picking lists, or digital systems to locate and select the correct items from designated storage areas within the warehouse. Stage customer will call orders and delivery shipments.
Accuracy:
Ensure the accuracy of each order picked by verifying product codes, quantities, and descriptions against order documentation.
Efficiency:
Work efficiently to meet daily production targets and deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Inventory Management:
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by documenting stock movements, reporting discrepancies, and participating in periodic inventory counts. The candidate will be required to assist in maintaining showroom inventory. Help with placing products/returns into assigned locations.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to merchandise or equipment.
Equipment Operation:
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials and products as needed.
Organization:
Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of obstructions to ensure a safe and productive working environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods in a fastpaced warehouse environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when selecting and verifying product information. Willingness to collaborate with coworkers and contribute to a positive team atmosphere. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines. Proficiency in basic math calculations for counting, sorting, and verifying inventory quantities. Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the ability to operate equipment safely. Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred but not required. Onthejob training may be provided.
