Position Overview We are looking for a dependable, organized person to pack customer orders, help manage inventory, and provide friendly customer service. Most customer orders are placed through our website and picked up at the farm. Your primary responsibility will be selecting the correct products from our freezers and coolers and packing each order accurately and efficiently. You will also communicate with customers by text, phone, email, and in person. Because you will often be one of the people representing our farm to customers, a helpful attitude and strong customer service skills are essential. This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys staying busy, working carefully, and being part of a small team where reliability and attention to detail matter. Responsibilities Select and pack fresh and frozen foods for customer orders Verify that every order is complete and accurate Neatly label bags, boxes, and customer orders Retrieve products from walk-in freezers and coolers Help customers during on-farm order pickup Communicate with customers by text, phone, email, and in person Receive, organize, count, and restock inventory Keep accurate inventory records Maintain an orderly packing room and storage areas Meet team standards for packing accuracy and efficiency Report inventory discrepancies or order errors promptly Help ensure orders are ready by their scheduled pickup times Assist with other order fulfillment and customer service tasks as needed Physical and Work Environment Our walk-in freezers are maintained around 0°F. You must be able to enter these freezers throughout the workday to select products. Appropriate freezer clothing is provided. The packing room is climate-controlled, with air conditioning during warmer months and heat during colder months. This job also requires regularly lifting and moving boxes weighing up to 50 pounds, including lifting boxes from floor level and removing them from overhead shelving. Qualifications Strong attention to detail Ability to work quickly without sacrificing accuracy Friendly, patient, and professional customer service Clear and neat handwriting Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Comfortable using a Mac computer and web-based order software Ability to use good judgment and solve routine problems Willingness to accept responsibility for mistakes and learn from them Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Willingness to learn new products, procedures, and systems Dependable transportation and a valid driver's license Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to approximately shoulder height Ability to work in walk-in freezers throughout the day Previous order packing, inventory, warehouse, retail, grocery, food service, or customer service experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person.
