This role will work with the Production assistant and Distiller to perform a variety of tasks that are necessary to package our gin, vodka, whiskey, and canned cocktails. We are looking for a friendly, hard-working, and coachable person that can work 2-3 shifts per week. Upon completion of training, shift schedules can be flexible. This position has great growth potential for someone who is interested in the distilling and/or brewing industry.

DETAILED ACTIVITIES

Packaging:

Build and label boxes, wash, fill and cap bottles; clean and label filled bottles, shrink seal and pack cases; palletize cases for shipment to customers.

Facility Organization & Cleaning:

Continuously clean the packaging area, ensuring that all items remain clean and organized. Production area is visible to Tasting Room customers and tours are often given while packaging is in progress.

Quality Control:

Ensure every product meets brand standards.

Brand Ambassador:

Represent the Anchorage Distillery brand in a professional and approachable manner.

Miscellaneous:

Receiving deliveries; building customer orders; delivery of cases to customer, assist with canning runs, other duties as assigned.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

21+ years old. High School diploma or higher. Ability to provide references from current and former employers. Ability to provide documentation verifying US employment eligibility. Successful completion of a background check prior to beginning employment.

STRONG CANIDATES WILL HAVE

Experience operating a forklift and dealing with large loads in a warehouse environment. Ability to work autonomously and with teammates through clear spoken and written communications, attention to detail, and strong follow-through. Self-motivation, problem solving, and analytical skills. Ability to work around production equipment and in environments that may be loud, wet, cold or hot, both indoors and outdoors. The position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely perform tasks involving reaching, climbing, bending, kneeling and crouching. The ability to occasionally lift and move items weighing 50+ pounds is required.

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 24.0 per week
