Position Summary Hatfield Metal Fabrication is seeking a dependable, motivated Shipping & Packing Assistant to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in preparing high-quality fabricated metal products for shipment while ensuring orders are packaged accurately, safely, and on time. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Package fabricated metal parts and assemblies for shipment. Prepare products for UPS, FedEx, LTL freight, and customer pickups. Verify orders for accuracy before shipment. Label, wrap, band, and palletize materials as required. Load and unload trucks using forklifts or pallet jacks (training available if needed). Maintain accurate shipping paperwork and packing lists. Assist with receiving incoming materials and verifying deliveries. Keep the shipping and warehouse areas clean, organized, and safe. Assist other departments as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous shipping, warehouse, manufacturing, or packaging experience is a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills are helpful. Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
