Packaging Associate Job Description The Packaging Associate supports custom packaging and crating operations by staging materials, building crates, packaging products, and preparing shipments in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role involves hands-on work with lumber, plywood, foam, and hardware to assemble custom wood crates and packaging solutions while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

•11:30 PM Responsibilities Stage and organize packaging materials, including lumber, plywood, foam products, hardware, and shipping supplies. Assist with the assembly and construction of custom wood crates and packaging solutions according to specifications. Measure, cut, and prepare materials accurately based on work instructions and job requirements. Support production teams with packaging, crating, and shipment preparation activities. Load, unload, move, and transport materials throughout the facility using appropriate material handling methods and equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times. Inspect packaging materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality and workmanship standards. Follow all safety procedures, company work practices, and production guidelines. Essential Skills Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure. Comfort using basic math for calculations and measurements. Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials throughout the shift. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods in a fast-paced production environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Experience with packaging, production, or general labor in a warehouse or manufacturing setting. Ability to perform material handling tasks safely and efficiently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with packing and material handling in a warehouse or distribution environment. Familiarity with pallet jack operation for moving materials. Exposure to forklift operation in a production or warehouse setting. Experience with inventory, picking, and staging materials. Experience in basic assembly or construction work, especially involving wood materials. Comfort working with hand tools and basic equipment used in packaging and crating. Why Work Here? The role involves regular lifting, carrying, and moving of materials throughout the facility, as well as frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling. You will work with materials such as lumber, plywood, foam, hardware, and various shipping supplies, and may use material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, depending on experience and training. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and adherence to established work practices. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00

•$20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
