The Retail Order Picker will create an outstanding customer service experience for all customers picking up their orders and shopping in the retail store. This position will monitor all established quality assurance standards and maintain organization within storage containers and freezer facilities. This position reports to the Retail Manager.

Responsibilities:

Assist with Inventory Management Keep cases, coolers, and freezers fully stocked Rotate out products, watch for expire/sell by dates Pick and carryout custom orders, assist bagging and loading items for customers Promote trust and respect among associates, with a positive attitude Understand and adhere to policies and procedures pertaining to safety, shrink wrapping, product dating and rotation, sanitation, temperature logs, and other state and federal food safety regulations Unload meat from the delivery truck onto a cart and properly store in the freezers and/or appropriate display areas Stock the freezer with boxes of various meats and display cases with lunch meat, chicken, beef, and pork Prepare custom orders for pickup Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times Other duties as assigned by Supervisor What people can count on this role for (expect from you): Strong attention to detail Must be able to work in a cold environment Good verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills as well as time management Punctual, dependable and reliable Ability to work independently or as a team when needed Maintain a clean and safe work area

Education and Experience:

Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) Strong attention to detail Good verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills as well as time management Punctual, dependable and reliable Ability to work independently or as a team when needed Maintain a clean and safe work area Must be able to write, speak and read English Physical Demands and Work Environment Moderate to heavy lifting and walking - lifting/carrying to 60 lbs., pushing/pulling to 50 force lbs., reaching, turning, standing, squatting, stooping/bending, equipment. Must be able to work effectively in refrigerated/cooler environment.
