Job Description
Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) is an award-winning, medium-hub commercial service airport that served more than a record-breaking 11.1 million passengers in 2025 and is one of the top 50 airports in the United States for passenger traffic. Fifteen airlines serve RSW with nonstop service to more than 70 markets, including Canada and Germany. The economic impact of the airport is $8.3 billion annually to the Southwest Florida region and more than 60,000 jobs. Page Field (FMY), an FAA-designated reliever airport, provides services to general and business aviation and accommodated more than 160,000 aircraft operations in 2025. Base Operations at Page Field is an award-winning, fixed-based operator and has been recognized for its customer service and facilities. Terminal Expansion projects are currently underway at RSW to improve the airport travel experience by consolidating the security checkpoints, adding concession space and providing passengers more amenities and options. In addition, a new Concourse E is being constructed with 14 gates, as well as other terminal, landside and airside improvements. The Position The Lee County Port Authority (LCPA) is seeking a Manager, Procurement to lead a team of Procurement Agents and oversee public-sector purchasing, bidding, and contract administration for the Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) and Page Field (FMY). This is a mid level management position with an opportunity for professional development and career growth within a dynamic, expanding organization. The anticipated annual salary range for the ideal candidate is between $85,689 and $102,826 Minimum Requirements A valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire A Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration or related field, and a minimum of four years of experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience A minimum of three years of experience in a Supervisory role Must currently hold a Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) or Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) or the ability to obtain within 24 months of hire Must successfully pass a criminal background screening, drug test, and meet the requirements to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge, through the SIDA training process and TSA Security Threat Assessment Key Responsibilities Direct, hire, and supervise Procurement Agents within the procurement office, establishing performance goals, evaluating progress, and supporting staff development through coaching and technical training Oversee and maintain procurement software platforms ensuring continuous operational functionality, data integrity, and seamless purchasing workflows Participate in departmental strategic planning, contributing to the development and implementation of organizational procurement goals Analyze cost, spend, and market data to identify price trends, prepare cycle reports, and evaluate operational efficiency to guide data-backed purchasing decisions Oversee the end-to-end procurement process for highly technical, specialized, and complex purchases Draft, negotiate, and formulate robust procurement contracts to protect organizational interests Review and approve requisitions, ensuring all purchases comply with organizational policy as well as federal, state, and local laws Benefits Florida Retirement System - Choose between two retirement plans, Pension or Investment Comprehensive, affordable medical, dental and vision Insurance plans Generous paid time off in addition to 11 paid holidays, and 1 personal day Please review full job description here Please attach a cover letter and resume.
