3004133748-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Hunter Douglas seeks a Global Category Manager Motors to lead sourcing for electric motors powering our custom window treatments and smart-home solutions. You will own global category strategy, supplier selection, and contract negotiations, balancing cost, quality, and supply assurance. Partnering with engineering, operations, and finance, you'll drive value engineering, cost reductions, and risk mitigation. You will monitor technology and market trends, manage supplier performance, and ensure reliable, high-quality motor supply that supports innovation and manufacturing across North America. Responsibilities Lead global sourcing strategy for electric motors used in Hunter Douglas products Analyze global supply markets to identify cost, quality, and risk opportunities Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with key motor suppliers Develop and manage a preferred supplier base and performance scorecards Partner with engineering and manufacturing on new product introductions and value engineering Forecast demand and ensure supply continuity across global operations Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and reliability standards Monitor industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes affecting motor categories Collaborate with finance on budgeting, should-cost analysis, and total cost of ownership Report category performance, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership Required Skills Strategic sourcing Category management Global supply management Supplier negotiation Contract management Cost analysis and should-costing Electric motor procurement Manufacturing industry knowledge Supplier performance management Risk management in supply chain
