3004134186-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Hunter Douglas is seeking a Global Category Manager Motors to lead global sourcing and strategy for electric motors used in our innovative window treatments and smart-home solutions. In this role, you'll develop category strategies, manage a global supplier base, and negotiate contracts to secure quality, cost-effective, and reliable motor supply. You'll partner closely with engineering, operations, and quality teams to support new product development, drive cost savings, and mitigate supply risks in a precision- and performance-driven manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for electric motors used in Hunter Douglas products Analyze supplier markets, costs, and risks to optimize total cost of ownership and supply assurance Identify, qualify, and negotiate with global motor suppliers to secure favorable commercial terms Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams on specification, value engineering, and supplier performance Lead RFQs, contract negotiations, and long term agreements with key suppliers Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement Manage category budget, cost savings pipeline, and reporting to leadership Assess geopolitical, logistics, and quality risks in the motor supply base and develop mitigation plans Support new product development with timely supplier engagement and component availability Stay current on motor technology trends and bring insights into category roadmaps Required Skills Strategic sourcing Category management Global supplier management Contract negotiation Cost analysis and TCO modeling Electric motor components knowledge Manufacturing and supply chain coordination RFQ and RFP management Supplier performance management and KPIs Risk management in global supply base
