Gilson Company Inc. is currently seeking a Purchasing Manager. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for leading the organization's procurement and sourcing activities to ensure the timely, cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining quality standards and supporting operational objectives.
Responsibilities:
Developing and execute purchasing strategies that align with company objectives and operational requirements.
Manage all procurement activities, including sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and purchase order management.
Analyzing KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implementing process optimization strategies.
Working closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and alignment with organizational objectives.
Identifying and mitigating potential risks in the supply chain, such as disruptions in supply or transportation.
Researching and analyzing global pricing trends, tariffs and forecasts.
Reducing operational costs and enhancing efficiency.
Supervise, mentor, and develop purchasing staff.
Manage inventory replenishment strategies to prevent stock shortages and reduce excess inventory.
Qualifications:
Strong analytical abilities to assess date, identify trends and make informed decisions. Excellent and timely communication skills. Ability to identify and resolve issues. Proficiency in relevant software and systems is crucial for managing and optimizing the purchasing processes; previous NetSuite experience is a plus. Excellent attention to detail. 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experiences. 3+ years of purchasing management experience. Ready to join our team?
