Job Description
Gilson Company Inc. is currently seeking a Purchasing Manager. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for leading the organization's procurement and sourcing activities to ensure the timely, cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining quality standards and supporting operational objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and execute purchasing strategies that align with company objectives and operational requirements.
- Manage all procurement activities, including sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and purchase order management.
- Analyzing KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implementing process optimization strategies.
- Working closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Identifying and mitigating potential risks in the supply chain, such as disruptions in supply or transportation.
- Researching and analyzing global pricing trends, tariffs and forecasts.
- Reducing operational costs and enhancing efficiency.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop purchasing staff.
- Manage inventory replenishment strategies to prevent stock shortages and reduce excess inventory.
