Job Description

Cole's Hardware Warehouse has an exciting opportunity for the Warehouse and Purchasing Manager position at our warehouse in Danville, PA. This warehouse services product to our 12 retail site locations in central PA. Qualified applicants with prior warehouse management and purchasing experience are encouraged to apply. Summary:
Acquires, sorts, and compiles data: operates computer in performance of routine administrative warehousing, merchandising, and marketing support functions by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
(Not all inclusive) Monitors inventory levels based on Transfer Order fill rate. Generation of store purchase orders, warehouse transfer orders and item fulfillments. Make informed purchasing decisions. Accurately receives purchase orders
  • support as needed.
Accurate and timely execution of the bi-monthly True Value Statement reconciliation. Communicates with True Value and other merchandise vendors for all issues related to the purchase, distribution, and receipt of items. Communicates supply chain issues to product merchants and marketing manager. Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and distribution of stock, and keeping the warehouse inventory accurate. Communicates consistently to foster a strong working relationship and flawless retail implementation with all merchandise and marketing retail support personnel. Confers with warehouse staff to ensure coordination of warehouse activities. Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment. Prepares work order for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment. Prepares efficient distribution routes and times. Participates in planning personnel safety and warehouse protection activities. Understand, leverage, and evolve Valogix (purchasing/replenishment tool) to become more efficient when ordering product. Understand and leverage Valogix and NetSuite ERP analytical tools. Compiles information to prepare reports, business correspondence, purchase orders, transfer orders, and other materials, as needed. Executes daily and weekly vendor supported electronic communications. Accurately updates store supported purchase orders through EDI
  • support as needed.
Provides administrative support in the execution of assigned warehousing, merchandising, marketing, and store support initiatives. Oversees and provides administrative support of warehouse damaged goods. Composes and prepares answers to routine correspondence. Accurately builds, maintains, and posts information to inventory records. Accurately builds, maintains, and posts information to vendor records. Provides retail systems trainings
  • NetSuite operational trainings.
Communicates effectively with back warehouse personnel in support of daily and weekly initiatives.
Payroll Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises 6 to 7 employees in Warehouse Distribution. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include support with interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Experience :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
