Originally established in the San Francisco Peninsula, CAM Edu is rapidly expanding throughout California in partnership with school districts to deliver engaging educational opportunities for students and underserved communities. We proudly serve students from Kindergarten through 8th Grade and are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and dependable Tech & STEAM Program Instructor to support our growing Southern California programs in La Habra and Santa Ana. About the role As a Tech & STEAM Program Instructor, you will lead engaging hands-on learning experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. You will teach technology-based enrichment classes while helping create meaningful learning opportunities through coding, robotics, game design, engineering, digital creativity, and other STEAM activities. This role is ideal for educators, STEM instructors, computer science graduates, engineering students, makers, game developers, and technology enthusiasts who enjoy working with children and making learning exciting. curriculum development and enrichment activities Job responsibilities Lead fun, interactive, and educational Tech & STEAM classes for TK-8th Grade students. Deliver hands-on lessons in coding, robotics, game development, engineering, science, digital art, and other enrichment subjects. Support curriculum development and assist in creating engaging lesson plans for the school year, holiday camps, and summer programs. Adapt instruction to meet different student learning styles and classroom needs. Maintain a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment with strong classroom management. Prepare, organize, maintain, and safely manage classroom technology, equipment, and instructional materials. Complete classroom setup and cleanup before and after daily programming. Communicate professionally with students, parents, school staff, and CAM Edu team members. Participate in planning meetings, staff collaboration, and enrichment program development. Help build positive relationships with school districts and community partners. Perform additional duties and instructional support as assigned by program management. Work expectations Available to begin as soon as possible. Must be willing to work at both La Habra and Santa Ana school districts based on business needs. Open to supporting neighboring school sites within Buena Park, Fullerton, La Habra, and Santa Ana. Available to work 4-6 days per week depending on program scheduling. Flexible and comfortable adapting to schedule changes based on operational and school district needs. Reliable personal transportation is strongly preferred, with willingness to travel between assigned school sites when needed. Preferred qualifications Experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or coaching TK-8th Grade students. At least 2 years of experience working with children in educational or enrichment settings preferred. Experience leading classrooms or groups of 20 or more students. Strong classroom management and student engagement skills. Passion for STEAM education, technology, creativity, and youth development. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities. Positive, professional, welcoming, and dependable attitude. Open to coaching, feedback, and continuous professional development. Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Education, Engineering, Technology, or a related field preferred. Why join CAM Edu?
