Salary and Grade:

This position is a non-exempt position with the responsibility for supporting persons with developmental disabilities attending our Day program in New Castle County. Responsibilities Assists individuals with developmental disabilities in becoming more independent and engaged in activities in the local community. Community day activities include recreational, socialization, volunteering, and employment opportunities. The Day Activities Staff implements the organization's mission and value by supporting individuals to make positive changes in their lives. Qualifications AA Degree in related field or 2 years of experience working with special needs population. Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record, and basic computer skills required. Experience should include support to people with arrange of Developmental Disabilities. Position requires a positive attitude toward the abilities of individuals with disabilities, good communication skills and the desire to engage people in activities that meet their interests and broaden their horizons. & 1146, Chapter 11 of Title 16 of the Delaware Code, requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: DE Child Abuse History Clearance, DE State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check, Drug Testing and TB Screenings.
