Position Overview The Director of Programs is a key leadership role responsible for the overall performance, quality, compliance, and impact of The Sharing Center's client-facing programs. This position provides strategic and operational oversight through three direct reports: the Senior Manager of Family Support, who leads Family Support services on the main campus in Longwood and satellite service locations in Orlando and Sanford; the Senior Manager of Community Services, who leads The Oasis, Outreach, and ProjectRISE; and the Mental Health Therapist, who leads mental health services. Together, these programs provide dignified, effective, and mission-aligned support to individuals and families experiencing poverty, homelessness, hunger, and financial hardship. This role directly supports our mission by strengthening programs that meet immediate needs while helping clients move toward long-term stability. A top priority of the Director is to ensure accurate data collection, meaningful analysis, and clear impact reporting across all program areas, while training and coaching program leaders and staff to understand the importance of reliable metrics. The Director combines compassionate leadership, strong program management, data-informed decision-making, and community collaboration to advance measurable outcomes across The Sharing Center's continuum of care. Key Responsibilities Program Leadership & Service Delivery
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for The Sharing Center's program continuum through three direct reports: the Senior Manager of Family Support, the Senior Manager of Community Services, and the Mental Health Therapist
- Oversee Family Support services through the Senior Manager of Family Support, including coordinated case management and assistance delivered on and off campus
- Oversee community-based services through the Senior Manager of Community Services, including The Oasis, Outreach, and ProjectRISE
- Oversee mental health services through the Mental Health Therapist, ensuring services complement The Sharing Center's broader client support model
- Ensure all program areas provide dignified, trauma-informed, client-centered services aligned with The Sharing Center's mission, values, and standards of care
- Support direct reports in refining services, workflows, staffing models, policies, and procedures that promote consistency, accountability, and excellence Impact, Data & Compliance
- Lead the collection, analysis, and reporting of program metrics that clearly demonstrate client outcomes, program effectiveness, and mission impact
- Establish and monitor program goals, outcomes, benchmarks, leading and lagging indicators, and performance measures across all assigned programs
- Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent data entry, documentation, case record management, and reporting practices across all program teams
- Train and coach direct reports and program staff to understand the importance of accurate metrics, reliable documentation, and impact-focused reporting
- Analyze program trends, client outcomes, service utilization, and community needs to identify opportunities for improvement and stronger mission impact
- Work with grants, finance, and leadership teams to support funder reporting, compliance requirements, outcome measurement, and internal impact reports Leadership & Team Development
- Build and support a collaborative, mission-driven programs team that is equipped to serve clients with dignity, consistency, and care
- Promote clear communication, shared expectations, accountability, and teamwork across Family Support, Community Services, and Mental Health programs
- Create a culture of learning by identifying training needs, strengthening team practices, and supporting professional growth across program staff
- Ensure staff have the tools, guidance, coaching, and support needed to provide high-quality services and maintain healthy team operations
- Support staffing plans and team structures that promote effective coverage, client access, staff sustainability, and program continuity Community Partnerships & Outreach
- Create, strengthen, and sustain partnerships that increase access to resources, services, and opportunities for clients across all program areas
- Build collaborative relationships with community partners, churches, businesses, funders, schools, employers, nonprofit agencies, healthcare providers, and government partners that support client stability and long-term well-being
- Develop referral pathways and coordinated service connections that help clients access food, financial assistance, housing support, mental health services, employment resources, and other stabilizing supports
- Represent The Sharing Center in community meetings, collaborative initiatives, outreach efforts, and partner conversations that advance client-centered solutions
- Work across internal teams and external partners to identify service gaps, reduce barriers, and improve the overall client experience Program Operations & Resource Management
- Manage program budgets in partnership with the Leadership team, finance team, and program leaders
- Monitor staffing, supplies, client assistance resources, contracted services, and other program needs across Family Support, Community Services, and Mental Health programs
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Pantry, Distribution, Facilities, Development, Finance, and People Services to improve client experience, program delivery, and operational alignment
- Ensure program spaces on campus and in community-based settings are safe, welcoming, organized, and prepared to serve clients, volunteers, staff, and community partners Strategic Initiatives & Compliance
- Identify opportunities to strengthen, expand, and improve programs based on client needs, data, community trends, and organizational strategy
- Lead change initiatives that improve service access, program quality, client outcomes, and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with senior leadership to resolve complex program and client service challenges
- Support a culture of learning, innovation, accountability, and measurable mission impact across all program areas Qualifications
- Passion for The Sharing Center's mission and commitment to serving clients with dignity
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit program management, social services, case management, homeless services, workforce development, behavioral health, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience, including coaching and developing teams
- Strong knowledge of client-centered service delivery, community resources, and barriers faced by individuals experiencing poverty or homelessness
- Strong experience with compliance, data quality, metrics tracking, impact reporting, and using program data to improve outcomes
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required; experience with HMIS, ClientTrack, or another client database preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered; master's degree preferred
Compensation Salary Range:

Though the typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. some evenings and weekends are needed based on program needs, community events, outreach activities, and leadership responsibilities. Additional hours may be required to meet organizational and program needs. Physical Requirements Must be able to move throughout The Sharing Center campus and program areas, including offices, client service spaces, The Oasis, outreach settings, and community partner locations. The position may require standing, walking, bending, carrying light supplies, and participating in occasional outreach or event activities.
