Job Description

Job Summary The Teen REACH Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment, engagement, retention, and overall development of teen members ages 11-17 participating in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Illinois Teen REACH program. This position coordinates and implements cohesive teen programming and activities at the site level and, when applicable, across multiple Club locations. The Coordinator directs the overall operation of a broad range of teen-focused programs, including Education, Social Recreation, Leadership Development, Workforce Readiness, Arts & Crafts, STEM, Healthy Lifestyles, and Physical Education, with primary responsibility for ensuring high-quality youth development experiences and positive outcomes for participants. The Teen REACH Coordinator plans, develops, implements, coordinates, and supervises Teen REACH programming and program staff while performing related administrative, compliance, and reporting duties. This position serves as the lead staff member responsible for Teen REACH grant implementation, teen recruitment, data management, community partnerships, and program evaluation. The Coordinator markets Teen REACH services throughout the community, establishes relationships with schools and community partners, and develops local resources and opportunities that support the success and growth of Club teens. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Program Leadership and Management Plan, develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate Teen REACH programming for youth ages 11-17. Direct the overall operation of a broad range of programs including Education, Leadership Development, Social Recreation, Arts & Crafts, STEM, Workforce Readiness, Character & Citizenship, Healthy Lifestyles, and Physical Education. Ensure programming aligns with Teen REACH requirements, Boys & Girls Clubs of America standards, and organizational goals. Develop monthly program schedules, activity plans, and special events designed to increase teen engagement and attendance. Coordinate programming across multiple Club sites when applicable. Teen Recruitment and Retention Lead year-round recruitment efforts to increase teen membership and participation. Build relationships with schools, parents, community organizations, and referral sources to identify and recruit eligible youth. Develop strategies to improve teen attendance, retention, and program engagement. Create opportunities for teen voice, leadership, and ownership within Club programs. Staff Supervision Provide direct supervision, coaching, scheduling, and support to Teen REACH program staff. Conduct program observations and ensure quality implementation of activities. Facilitate staff training and professional development related to youth development, safety, trauma-informed practices, and Teen REACH requirements. Ensure staff compliance with organizational policies and grant expectations. Grant Compliance, Data Management, and Reporting Oversee all aspects of Teen REACH grant implementation and compliance. Maintain accurate participant records, attendance, outcome data, and required documentation. Ensure timely and accurate data entry into required systems and databases. Prepare and submit programmatic and financial reports in accordance with grant requirements. Monitor program performance measures and outcomes to ensure achievement of established goals. Assist with audits, monitoring visits, evaluations, and quality assurance reviews. Community Relations and Resource Development Market Teen REACH services and opportunities throughout the community. Establish and maintain strong partnerships with schools, businesses, colleges, workforce agencies, and community organizations. Develop local resources, volunteer opportunities, career exploration experiences, and support services for Club teens. Represent Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Illinois at community meetings, events, and collaborative initiatives. Youth Development and Member Support Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all participants. Serve as a mentor and positive role model for teen members. Support academic success, social-emotional growth, leadership development, and career readiness. Connect youth and families with community resources and support services as needed.

From $40,000.00 per year
