Program Manager -
Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing Location:
Marlborough, MA Employment Type:
Full-Time Salary:
$110,000-$140,000 (based on experience) Position Overview We are seeking a Program Manager to join a growing aerospace and defense manufacturing organization in the Marlborough, MA area. This individual will oversee the execution of complex manufacturing programs, ensuring technical requirements, budgets, schedules, and customer expectations are met. The Program Manager will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and customers to drive successful program delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing, strong financial and program management skills, and the ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of aerospace and defense manufacturing programs.
  • Develop and manage program schedules, budgets, milestones, and resource allocations.
  • Complete monthly Estimates to Complete (ETC) and Estimates at Completion (EAC).
  • Partner with finance to manage budgets, funding profiles, invoicing milestones, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure successful program execution.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact, managing expectations, deliverables, and program requirements.
  • Monitor program performance and communicate progress, risks, and financial updates to customers and senior leadership.
  • Identify program risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain program documentation, financial reports, and risk assessments.
  • Support customer proposals, quotations, and responses to technical requirements, including TINA-compliant proposals. Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Business, or a related field.
  • 1-5 years of program management, project management, or engineering management experience within the aerospace industry.
  • Experience managing technical or manufacturing programs.
  • Experience with financial forecasting, program budgeting, and the EAC process.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, Jira, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of program risk management, scheduling, and performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing defense and commercial aerospace programs.
  • Background in composite materials, aerospace structures, or precision manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of composite manufacturing processes, including design, fabrication, and testing.
  • Experience with radomes, electromagnetic systems, or related aerospace components.
  • Familiarity with AS9100, MIL-STD, and applicable FAA requirements.
  • Experience supporting government contracts and TINA-compliant proposals.
  • Understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, supply chains, and regulatory compliance. Compensation & Benefits

$110,000-$140,000, depending on experience.
