GRADE STD0010 LOCATION OF POSITION
MDH, Somerset County Health Department Westover, MD 21871 Main Purpose of Job The main purpose of this position is to coordinate all activities for the Somerset County Mobile Wellness Program. This position will work with staff from different departments to create and maintain a schedule for Mobile Wellness Program activities. This position will build and maintain relationships with community partners to increase awareness of the Mobile Wellness Program and establish mobile wellness activities at community events. This position will drive the wellness van to events and set up the van and its equipment. This position will perform routine maintenance of the van and its equipment. This position will maintain and update standard operating procedures and train staff in the proper use of the van and its equipment. This position will promote the Mobile Wellness Program by working with members of the Communications Committee to develop flyers and social media posts. This position will also serve as Chairperson of the Mobile Wellness Committee, which will meet monthly. This position is emergency essential and requires a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education :
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience :
Six months of experience performing administrative staff, clerical, clerical technical, or secretarial work.
Notes :
1. Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience. 2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer involving staff work requiring regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting rules and regulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The desired candidate should possess the following: 1. Experience with vehicle operation, equipment setup and routine maintenance. 2. Experience using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
