The Fedco Seeds branch is hiring a Seed Rack and Seed Fundraiser Programs Coordinator. This person manages and oversees these programs by creating sales strategies that result in revenue growth, broadening our brand recognition in the retail space by entering new markets, deepening community relationships by expanding fundraiser program visibility, and ensuring an excellent customer experience. Schedule & Hours This is a sales position that involves in-person and remote work as well as a small amount of regional travel. The ideal candidate will reside in Maine and have the ability to work regularly in-person in the town Clinton. From November through April , hours are full-time and require 2-3 days of in-person work or travel. The remaining days of the week can be remote. From May through October , hours are part-time with at least one day in-person and the rest remote. About Fedco's Seed Racks and Fundraisers Seed racks are portable cardboard displays that hold a wide offering of our vegetable, herb and flower seeds for sale at food coops, hardware stores, nurseries and other retail establishments. Our seed fundraiser program sells seed packets to schools and classrooms, PTA groups, 4-H Clubs, Scouts and other community organizations to use as a fundraiser with a positive, healthy message.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee seed rack and seed fundraiser programs for profitability and customer satisfaction in collaboration with the Seeds team Maintain active and engaged relationships with existing rack and fundraiser customers Seek and establish new customers for both programs including sales calls, sales visits, community events, conferences and by creating promotional campaigns Maintain, develop and implement improvements to both programs including presentation, packet design, and supplemental literature Create and adhere to robust calendars pertaining to product selection, program marketing, outreach and events Market research; become aware and familiar with competitor programs Analyze program data Develop program budget, in conjunction with supervisors Work closely with the order fulfillment team to ensure timely delivery of rack and fundraiser orders

Secondary Responsibilities:

Develop deep knowledge of Fedco Seeds' product line Stay up to date on gardening and seed industry trends Maintain familiarity with shop operations Become familiar with technical areas of Fedco, including databases and processes and how to improve them

Required Skills:

3-5 years sales or direct marketing experience Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills Experience and ability to collaborate across teams Excellent outreach skills; demonstrate ability to network Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Desired Skills:

Experience in the farm and garden industry Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and standard office software. An understanding of cooperative values, and a willingness to work in a cooperative structure. $27.42/hour
