Summary:
Beaver Aerospace & Defense, a Héroux-Devtek company, is seeking a Program Coordinator to plan, schedule, and coordinate materials and production activities for assigned programs to achieve on-time delivery to customers. This role manages work orders from release through close, aligns production schedules with customer requirements, and leads program purchasing in partnership with commodity buyers. The Program Coordinator is the day-to-day link between Materials, Production, Quality, Engineering, Shipping & Receiving, and Program Management, running status meetings and reporting order status to keep programs on cost, quality, and schedule. This is an exempt, on-site position in Livonia, Michigan.
Main responsibilities:
Coordinate and monitor day-to-day work across Customer Service, Production, Machining, Inspection, and Shipping & Receiving to keep assigned programs on schedule Review sales orders and production schedules to determine material, capacity, and production requirements Plan and set work schedules, assignments, and production sequences, adjusting as needed to protect customer delivery dates Create, track, and close work orders, ensuring all labor, material, and outside processing costs are accurately captured Update work orders and related records when engineering changes are authorized Review finished goods, work-in-process, and purchased component inventory against customer requirements; reconcile discrepancies and correct ERP records Remove scrapped assemblies and components from inventory records and assess the impact on open work orders Lead purchasing for assigned programs with commodity buyers: solicit quotes, negotiate pricing, and secure materials and outside processing services that meet quality, cost, and delivery targets Expedite raw material, purchased components, and outside processing to support production schedules Monitor production and repair work for completeness, accuracy, and conformance to specifications at each phase Initiate overhaul, warranty, and repair orders and hand them off to the appropriate Program Manager Run daily and weekly program status meetings and provide order status updates to managers and departments Work with supervisors to coordinate activities within and between departments Follow

Our ideal candidate:
Associate's or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field 5+ years of plant-level materials management experience in a manufacturing environment Working knowledge of production planning, inventory control, work order management, purchasing principles and policies, and general contracts Hands-on experience managing work orders, inventory, and purchasing in an ERP/MRP system Proven program or project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a high-visibility role Strong problem-solving, math, and critical thinking skills Clear communicator who is comfortable leading meetings and working across departments Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Able to work in an industrial manufacturing setting with required PPE and travel occasionally to other company facilities Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship Aerospace & defense or AS9100 manufacturing experience is a plus Experience with precision machined components and outside processing (e.g., heat treat, grinding, plating) is a plus
APICS/ASCM
