Primary Objective of Position:

To support and supervise children ages 3-5 before and after school at Minnetonka Community Education Center. Plan activities, manage program spaces and, and supervise children. Provide guidance and ensure the safety of all students.

Job Responsibilities:

Supervise and provide guidance for students. Manage program spaces, lead activities and provide guidance to Program Assistants and Program Aides.\nCreate developmentally appropriate and engaging activities for students.\nProvide a safe, caring, fun environment for children including use of the site tracking system. Maintain accurate attendance records in Eleyo.\nSupport students and ensure safety during non-school day programming both at our schools and on field trips in the community.\nEstablish a positive and friendly relationship with parents.\nPerforms other duties of a similar nature or level.\nMaintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.\nAttend monthly staff meetings.

Training, Experience and Licensing:

Complete required child care, first aid & CPR training prior to the first day of employment. Online training links will be provided by employer.\nComplete a required number of staff development hours annually Must meet ONE of the education and work experience requirements listed below. Bachelor's Degree in a related field.\nBachelor's Degree in an unrelated field AND three months of related experience\nAA or two years of college in a related field or equivalent certificate with six months of related experience\nAn equivalent of one year full time work experience in childcare with Explorers OR an equivalent of two years childcare experience at the same level in a different program OR an equivalent of 3 years full time childcare in a lesser role in a different program.

Knowledge and Skills:
