  • Full-time SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Resident & Community Programs Manager, the Resident & Community Programs Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing ANCHOR's mission to provide safe, affordable, and supportive housing.
This position is responsible for delivering high-quality resident services programming, connecting residents to community resources, and promoting housing stability, independence, and overall well-being. The Coordinator works directly with residents to assess needs, coordinate services, implement programs, and foster community engagement. This role also supports compliance, documentation, and reporting requirements while helping ensure programs are accessible, inclusive, and aligned with organizational standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
These describe the general nature of the position, other duties and responsibilities may be assigned, as needed. Resident Services & Case Management Conduct resident intake, needs assessments, and individualized service planning. Provide referrals to community providers and assist residents with accessing services, benefits, and resources. Offer ongoing case management, advocacy, and follow-up support in alignment with HUD guidelines. Assist residents with navigating systems including healthcare, benefits, employment, and social services. Help residents interpret documents, complete forms, and manager appointments. Program Coordination & Implementation Plan and implement resident programs focused on: Health & wellness Financial literacy Employment & workforce development Youth, family, and senior services Food security and housing stability Coordinate workshops, events, and educational opportunities tailored to resident needs. Promote resident participation through outreach and engagement strategies. Support development of resident leadership opportunities and Resident Associations. Community Engagement & Partnerships Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, service providers, and local agencies. Maintain an up-to-date resource directory of service providers. Coordinate on-site or mobile services such as health clinics, wellness screenings, and support programs. Represent the property in community meetings and collaborative initiatives, as appropriate. Resident Advocacy & Support Promote inclusion, independence, and dignity for all residents. Identify barriers to service access and actively work to reduce them. Support crisis intervention efforts and coordinate referrals when urgent needs arise. Encourage self-advocacy and community involvement among residents. Compliance, Documentation, & Reporting Maintain accurate, timely resident service records and case notes. Ensure compliance with HUD and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Track program participation, outcomes, and resident engagement metrics. Assist with audits, reporting requirements, and file reviews. Follow established policies, procedures, and documentation standards. Collaboration & Property Support Partner with Community Managers to address resident concerns and support lease compliance through education and intervention. Collaborate with internal teams to align resident services with property and organizational goals. Communicate resident needs, trends, and program outcomes to the Community Manager.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A
bachelor's degree in social work, human services, gerontology, counseling, or a related field is required, with a master's degree preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in case management, service coordination, or community-based programming. Experience working within affordable housing, HUD programs, or other regulated environments is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and build effective partnerships. A commitment to ANCHOR's mission and experience working with diverse populations is essential.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
The individual in this role must possess strong computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with property management or case management systems (such as ResMan or similar platforms) is preferred. The coordinator should be comfortable with data entry, maintaining detailed records, and utilizing tracking systems to monitor resident engagement and program outcomes. The ability to learn and effectively use organization-specific software and reporting tools is essential for success in this role.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the property or between multiple locations, as well as travel to community partner sites as needed. Daily activities include working on a computer, attending meetings, and communicating via phone and email. The employee may occasionally be required to lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
