Why does the job exist? The Senior Program Coordinator position exists to provide centralized expertise, training, troubleshooting, workflow support, and operational oversight for the organization's electronic health record systems, including PointClickCare (PCC) and Avatar. As healthcare technology continues to expand, facilities face increasing challenges related to staff training, documentation accuracy, system optimization, regulatory compliance, and technical support. Without a dedicated resource, facilities often rely on local staff with varying levels of expertise, leading to inconsistent practices, documentation errors, workflow inefficiencies, and increased regulatory risk. This position serves as a mobile support resource across multiple facilities, ensuring staff receive consistent training, timely technical assistance, and ongoing support. By improving system utilization and standardizing practices, the position helps strengthen survey readiness, improve documentation accuracy, enhance operational efficiency, and support positive resident outcomes. How does it get done? The Senior Program Coordinator is responsible for: Providing remote and onsite training for PointClickCare (PCC) and Avatar systems. Supporting new employee onboarding and ongoing staff education. Serving as the primary resource for troubleshooting EHR-related issues. Assisting facilities with workflow optimization and process improvement initiatives. Supporting software implementations, upgrades, and system enhancements. Conducting documentation reviews and identifying opportunities for improvement. Assisting facilities with survey readiness and regulatory compliance efforts. Collaborating with Information Technology departments, software vendors, facility leadership, and Department of Health personnel. Managing support tickets and tracking system issues through established processes. Developing training materials, user guides, and educational resources. Supporting physician credentialing and provider workflow processes within the EHR systems. Providing project management and implementation support for organization-wide initiatives. Promoting standardization of EHR practices across all facilities. Who are the customers? The primary customer are the brave men and women that answered our nations call, executed their duties and now are unable to live in their respective communities due to failing health. This job will also support the widows of the service men and women to include parents that have lost children in combat (Gold Star Parents) Ideal Candidate The primary customer are the brave men and women that answered our nations call, executed their duties and now are unable to live in their respective communities due to failing health. This job will also support the widows of the service men and women to include parents that have lost children in combat (Gold Star Parents) Minimum Qualification Associate's Degree and three (3) years of experience in program administration or project management in areas related to the purpose of the position. Any combination of education and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling five (5) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Possible exposure to irate clientele.
