SUMMARY To provide services as part of a multi-disciplinary team to persons with mental illness and/or substance abuse problems. Service provision will focus on working with clients to enhance their recovery. Assist individuals who have experienced a recent mental health crisis in our peer drop-in centers and in the community. Ensure compliance and effectiveness of the program as the lead worker at this location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To provide individualized, ongoing guidance, coaching and support. To provide training in the use of personal and community resources. Assist in developing formal and informal community supports. Assist the person served in increasing social support networks of relatives, friends and/or significant others. To offer encouragement in times of crisis. To advocate on behalf of persons with behavioral health problems to protect the client's rights and to assist in reducing associated stigma. To work in cooperation with other providers, family members or significant others involved in the client's recovery plan. To attend Agency staff meetings, Case Conferences and Individual and Group Supervision. To observe all rules of confidentiality relating to clinical information and treatment, both internally and when dealing with external agencies and/or individuals. Engage with and provide follow up services to individuals seen by mobile crisis team members. To be responsible for understanding client's rights policy and procedures. To participate in staff training and development. To maintain professional standards at all times. To observe the guidelines established within the Code of Ethics and Conduct. Oversee other staff, assisting with training and compliance to program rules and regulations. Work with leadership in the development and improvement of program processes and procedures to ensure program success. To perform other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Experience for this position is based on education level and previous experience in a related human services role. Please ensure your resume or profile shows this education and experience.

High School/GED:

Must have two years experience.

Bachelor Degree:

Must have one year experience.

Master Degree:

No experience required.

LANGUAGE

Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred.

Pay:

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
