Job Overview The Program Manager oversees the daily operations of the Before and After School Program for elementary-aged children . This position is responsible for supervising program staff, maintaining a safe and engaging environment for participants, ensuring compliance with State of Ohio childcare licensing requirements, and supporting positive relationships with children, families, school personnel, and staff. The Program Manager reports directly to the School Aged Manager and assists in ensuring the overall success and quality of the program. Duties Plan, prepare, and implement before and after school enrichment programming that supports social, emotional, and academic learning in a fun and engaging environment. Develop and implement weekly lesson plans and activities that are creative, child-centered, and age-appropriate. Organize classroom materials, learning centers, and enrichment activities while maintaining accurate attendance records, incident reports, and documentation. Foster positive relationships and communication with parents, school staff, community partners, and other stakeholders to support program success and family engagement. Ensure compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements established by the Ohio Department of Youth and Children, including maintaining required postings, SUTQ documentation, quarterly inspections, and fire drill records. Implement departmental policies and procedures that ensure the physical safety and emotional well-being of all children. Maintain high standards of program quality and effectively implement rule or policy changes at the site level in a timely manner. Supervise, support, and mentor assistant teachers and aides by modeling professionalism, teamwork, and service excellence. Collaborate with the Child Care Director and Assistant Director in evaluating staff performance and supporting ongoing professional growth. Assist in managing site budgets, tracking expenses, maintaining inventory, and demonstrating responsible stewardship of program resources. Provide reports, data, and feedback that support accountability, continuous quality improvement, and informed decision-making. Identify program strengths, challenges, and opportunities for improvement to ensure responsiveness to the needs of children, families, and the community. Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain all required training and certifications. Be available to work school closings, professional development days, summer camp programs, and special events as needed. Perform any additional duties as assigned by administration or leadership. Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, positive leadership, and commitment to the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Education & Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Must meet Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY) administrator qualifications as outlined in Ohio Administrative Code Rule 5101:2-12-07 and Appendix A, including required education, credentials, and/or experience for school-age childcare administrators. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Associate degree or coursework in early childhood education, child development, education, recreation, or related field preferred Must be at least 18 years of age. Previous experience working with children in a licensed childcare, school-age program, camp, recreation, or related setting required. Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain all required State of Ohio childcare licensing clearances and training. Current First Aid, CPR, and management of communicable disease certifications preferred or ability to obtain upon hire. Must successfully complete required background checks in accordance with State of Ohio regulations Must complete and maintain a current medical statement in accordance with State of Ohio childcare licensing requirements. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required. Pay:

$16.00 - $17.00 per hour
