Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Development, the Major and Planned Giving Officer willsolicit the University's major donor prospects and oversee the Planned Giving Program. The Major and Planned Gift Officer willidentify, qualify, engage, cultivate, solicit, and steward current and prospective donors, in enhancing their financial support of thepriorities of the University. Responsible for meeting annual goals by working with an assigned portfolio of donors and prospects to advancethe mission of the organization and assist donors in creating meaning in their lives through outright and planned giving.

Education:

Bachelor's degree required.

Experience:

5-10 yearsof experience of progressively responsible fundraising experience with a proven track record of actively securing major and planned giftsfrom individuals. Demonstrated success in revenue generation. Experience cultivating and maintaining productive long-termrelationships. Licenses /

Certifications:

Current, valid PA driver's license.

Work-Related Knowledge:

Thorough understanding of the elements of a comprehensive developmentprogram. Ability to establish creditability and confidence with stakeholders. (Equivalent combinations of education,licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered.)
